Founded by Elizaveta Kolodiy, Why Not Nails (WNN) is the result of her unwavering commitment to excellence. Elizaveta didn’t plan to end up in nails. She walked away from a corporate track in 2020 and started over in a home studio during the pandemic.

Two months in, the calendar was full.

What began in August 2020 as a solo practice in a home studio quickly evolved into a go-to destination for nail care and professional nail training in Brooklyn, NY and surrounding areas.

The name “Why Not” reflects Elizaveta’s personal philosophy: a fearless approach to trying new things and a drive to challenge the status quo. It stuck for a reason. “Why not do it properly? Why not raise the bar? Why not refuse shortcuts?” This mindset led to the opening of our flagship studio in January 2021.

Today, Why Not Nails is a thriving hub for luxury nail services and professional nail training, setting new standards in both client experience and education. We specialize in expert extensions, gel and polygel enhancements, and hundreds of nail designs executed across a wide range of techniques.

The WNN Training Center: Shaping the Next Generation

As Lead Instructor, Elizaveta Kolodiy has built WNN into a serious training center. It started organically — clients kept asking if she could teach the Russian Manicure technique. She could. And did.
